Financial Controller, Oxfordshire

£65,000 – £75,000 pa + Hybrid, Pension, Flexible benefits

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead and inspire a small team of finance professionals to deliver a first-class level of financial control/support to the wider business. Ultimately ensuring tight financial control whilst providing commercial insight to allow the business to optimise profitability.

Your role:

Your responsibilities will be wide-ranging and include:

* Leading on the FP & A activities such as budgets, quarterly forecasting and long-term planning

* Multi-currency cash flow forecasting

* Production of consolidated monthly management accounts

* Monitor and control working capital by ensuring effective cash collection techniques

* Provision of various operational/sales reporting

* Intercompany accounting and recharges

* Ensuring any technical accounting issues are dealt with in a timely and effective manner

* Overseeing all reporting and regulatory compliance for operations across the UK, EU and US

* Ensuring all Tax compliance matters are adhered to such as VAT, Corporation Tax and any Import/Export requirements

* Direct Line Management of two heads

About you:

You will be a fully qualified accountant, (i.e ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with significant demonstrable experience in leading a finance team in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience of working in a Stock/Inventory, ideally retail/wholesale based environment is essential as is working with a business with international/Global currency matters. Your previous experience in building and evolving strong processes and procedures will be a welcomed attribute here too.

This is a hands-on role, suited if you have a “leading by example” management style. You’ll get to coach, evaluate, and evolve the team around you, empowering them to effectively assist the business with its ambitious growth plans. Of course, you’ll need all the usual attributes of attention to detail, great organisation skills and effective communication skills but we’re sure you have developed them at this stage of your career already.
