Job Description
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for a full time Financial Controller to support the busy accountancy operations of a highly successful engineering company, specialising in the sales and servicing of high-quality CNC machine tools to all industries, aerospace, automotive, oil & gas and medical, to name a few.

ROLE: FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

LOCATION: Office based in Nuneaton. You may be looking for Financial Controller jobs in Coventry, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Hinkley, Tamworth, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Lichfield, Leicester, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, West Midlands area.

SALARY: £30K- £35K, depending on experience, plus benefits, bonuses, pension, ample free parking, flexible approach to working hours, career progression opportunities.

HOURS: Mon-Thurs 8.30am-5pm. Fri (phone number removed)pm. Full time, Permanent.

As a self-motivated and hardworking Financial Controller, your duties will include:

* Reporting to the Finance Director / Managing Director.

* Reconciling all bank accounts.

* Daily Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger.

* Reviewing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.

* Providing monthly accounts to Finance Director.

* Online BACS payments / HMRC / Customs reporting.

* Maintaining the accounting software.

* Ad hoc finance administration.

ABOUT YOU:

* At least 5 years solid accounting experience

* Ideally experience within an engineering SME environment.

* Knowledge of Xero accountancy software would be beneficial but not essential.

* Intelligent, ambitious and motivated.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

Previous jobs may include Accounts Assistant, Financial Accountant, Purchase Ledger Supervisor, Sales Ledger Supervisor, Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant, Assistant Management Accountant, Revenue Accountant, Assistant Finance Manager or similar.
