FINANCIAL CONTROLLER – REAL ESTATE – £60-65K + BONUS – CITY OF LONDON

I am exclusively partnered with an exciting Real Estate firm who have gone through exponential growth and are now looking to add a Financial Controller to the team.

My client is a Commercial and Residential property investor who are a forward-thinking owner managed property trader, developer, rental business and services management Group. The company have exciting growth plans and is led by a small entrepreneurial and experienced senior leadership team who are very much involved with the business long term plan.

The company have been established for decades with a substantial portfolio of assets in trading, development and commercial/residential property that manage it's assets and rent collection in-house.

Due to new developments, my client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team and take ownership of the core accounting functions. As the Financial Controller you will be owning the day-to-day financial performance of the property business and taking responsibility for the credit control, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations and VAT reporting for the group.

The Financial Controller will work closely with the CEO and Property Directors, accounting for a portfolio of four service charge accounts, several statutory trading entities and supporting the senior leadership team by providing accurate financial analysis for future property projects. You will understand and take ownership of quarterly client billing, rent and service charge whilst preparing the monthly management accounts. You will assist the year end audit process with the CFO and provide key financial analysis to support the future of the business.

To be successful in this position you will be:

An experienced Financial Controller within the Property/Real Estate sector
Qualified or qualified by experience accountant
Experienced in calculating and reconciling Service Charge/Rent Charge
Highly proficient user in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills
An excellent communicator and presenter
Experienced in Sage is highly desirable
Experienced Qube Property Management software is highly desirable
