Job Description
Financial and HR Controller
A wonderful opportunity for an experienced Finance professional to join this Architecture Practice in their offices in Liverpool Street. This is a part time opportunity requiring 2-4 days’ worth of hours per week, with a mix of office and remote work available. Salary 40-50K pro rata
This is a pivotal role providing vital information to the Directors to enable effective business decision making. Focusing on financial responsibilities there are some additional HR control responsibilities.. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate some strong experience of Finance and HR administration gained within a project driven small to medium sized business. Possess an advanced knowledge of Excel and ideally having experience with Xero and Deltek PIM
Reporting into the Directors, responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting – producing monthly profit and loss statements, cashflow forecasts and producing the quarterly VAT Returns, the Management Accounts, Budget
and Annual Accounts
Raising invoices, following up on unpaid invoices
Working alongside the Studio Manager and Bookkeeper to ensuring all payments are made on time
Monitoring and assisting where necessary in the production and application of project fee draw down schedules, recovery of expenses and the identification and submission of additional fees
Managing cost and charge rates. Update all relevant systems and documents as necessary.
Processing staff expenses
Assisting with the annual R&D tax credits application with support from the bookkeeper and accountant
Managing the insurance administration and policy renewals
Keeping the Project Information system Deltek up to date
Liaising with external providers for payroll, pension scheme, benefits (childcare voucher scheme, Cycle to Work scheme, Employee Assistance Programme)
Assisting the team with recruitment administrative tasks, including job advertising and providing a point of contact for candidates
Coordinating payroll
Managing and registering staff absences and holidays
