Job Description
Assistant Financial Controller – Insurance

This expanding London market insurer have created a new role within their busy finance team. This role will support their senior finance leadership team across their financial control and reporting function

Core responsibilities will include

Mentorship and leadership of a small team
Responsibility for the quarterly close and GAAP reporting process and ensuring both internal and external reporting deadlines
Oversight of the balance sheet reconciliations
Contribute to the preparation of annual accounts and regulatory returns.
A key factor will be project orientated particularly around process improvements, integration projects and the enhancement of the control environment
Working closely with key stakeholders across the business.
You will an experienced qualified accountant with a strong London market underwriting background (either Lloyd's or company market), looking to step up and take on a progressive finance opportunity with an ambitious and growing insurance group.
