My client has created a brand-new R2R General Ledger/Financial Accountant position due to their growth and are keen to bring in candidates who are confident in their technical ability to help drive the team and strive for promotions, as they're always keen to help support the development of their staff into senior & management positions.
Hybrid: Yes, WFH 2 Days of the week
Salary Banding: Up too £55,000
Location: Warwick
Duties
Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of financial accounts for month & quarterly close
Preparation & distribution of financial reports & statements
Support the work & development of 1 or 2 Assistant Accountants within the team
Manage the R2R & General Ledger for the leading entity within the group
Be the main contact for Tax/Audit liaison with HMRC
Group consolidation & reporting into the US (USGAAP & SOX experience is desired but not essential)
Contribute to strategic continuous improvement initiatives in the organisation and incorporate the changes as requiredAlongside this, my client will mix up duties between accountants within the team to ensure there is always something new to learn or to keep the work varied (Experience on this is not essential), this may include:
Project Accounting
Cover for banking/treasury
Fixed Assets & leasing
Rebate AccountingExperience
Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ACA with at least 2+ years of experience in a financial accounting/Record to Report role
Previous experience working in a Shared Services environment or handling large clients within an accountancy practice is preferred
End to end RTR process experience
Flexible and willing to work in a "hands on" manner to ensure that all tasks are completed by the team on a timely basis.
Possesses the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Able to assimilate large amounts of information quickly
Ability to handle change effectively
Solid analytical skills.
Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP or SOX would be a bonus, but not essential
Ability to organise own workload effectively to ensure completion of work by targeted SLA's
