Job Description
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
FMCG business
Based in Leicestershire
This pivotal position will be reporting directly to the Head of Finance.
The role will work alongside a small existing team to support both the finance department and the wider business to develop and enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and business processes.
You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and completion of monthly accounts and year-end processes in a fast paced, tightly controlled, and ever-changing environment.
Responsibilities
Overseeing the preparation of the monthly management accounts and financial report submissions
Dealing with external and internal auditors
Statutory and taxation report compilation
Control overhead expenditure analysis and reporting
Working closely with the budget holders to control spends and ensure costs are in line with targets
Continually reviewing business processes to ensure effective and efficient control
Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations
To provide full support to the Senior Financial team
Business analysis, business improvement projects and ad hoc requests
Preparation of balance sheet, cash flow and overhead budgets / quarterly forecasts
Experience
– Advanced analytical skills with use of Microsoft Excel
– Experience within an FMCG company
– Financial reporting experience
– CIMA / ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant.
