Job Description
My client is looking for a Financial Accountant to become an integral part of the team. The role will be working from their offices in Alfreton.

Purpose

* Responsibility for the Financial Accounting function for the organisation.

* Manage the Treasury function

* Ensure accuracy of the trial balance

* Manage the financial accounts team to improve systems and develop staff capabilities

Principal Accountabilities

* Accuracy of the trial balance

* Cash management and forecasting

* Treasury management

* Purchase ledger

* Sales ledger

* Invoice discounting facility

* Foreign currency exposure management

* Balance sheet reconciliation's

* VAT return

* Control of capital expenditure

* To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Financial Controller or other Senior Manager.

Qualifications/Education required:

* Qualified Accountant

Experience required:

* Team Player

* Ability to work well under pressure

* Can demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines

* Ability to demonstrate an ability to maintain quality and integrity of data

* Organised nature

* Ability to manage and develop others

* Ability to delegate whilst retaining ownership and control

Specialist training:

* Good Excel skills
