Job Description
Financial Accountant (32 hours)
Search are partnered with a unique business going through and exciting growth period to help secure a newly created Financial Accountant position. You will be working for an award winning travel company as the newest member of their Dunfermline based office. This position will include occasional travel to France and Holland.
Key responsibilities:
Preparation of the annual reports in line with UK GAAP, with assistance from the Dutch office
Preparation and submission of VAT and CIT returns
Responsible for debtor management
Ensure supplier payments, bank payments and journals are processed
Complete intercompany reconciliations
Prepare monthly reporting packs to present to wider group
Review the balance sheet and P&L
Be involved with the annual audit and occasionally liaise with external auditors
Requirements:
Knowledge of UK GAAP
Previous experience preparing annual reports under UK GAAP
VAT, CIT and other tax knowledge – ability to prepare and file VAT and CIT returns
Good computing skills (Excel and Word)
