Job Description
A global property and construction business is looking to recruit a Finance Manager on either a permanent or 6-month contract (with benefits package). This is a hybrid role split between West London and working from home.
As Finance Manager with a key focus on the Construction side of the business, you would be responsible for delivering corporate reporting and accounting compliance for entities in the UK and Europe and assisting on quarterly group reporting submissions to the Head Office team.
THE ROLE
The main focal points of the Finance Manager role will be:
* Profit recognition and reporting for development project profits
* Monitoring and reporting Construction work in progress (WIP) expenditure
* Monthly JV reporting
* Cost-to-complete calculations for completed developments
* Quarterly reporting including balance sheet reconciliations for UK entities and fully reconciled intercompany accounts
* Preparation & management of weekly cash-flow forecasts and monthly entity bank reconciliations
* Preparation and review of inter-company costs for billing of Development entities
* Assist with compliance reporting including completion of VAT returns (using One Source Indirect Tax Compliance software) and ONS surveys
* Support the UK Consolidation team with quarterly financial submissions including group adjustments, analytical review and intercompany reconciliations
* Business partnering with other finance teams to resolve group reporting queries received from the group team at Head Office
* Supporting the wider team including assisting with statutory reporting adjustments, financial statements and tax pack analysis
* Preparation of audit information at half year and year end
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
This Finance Manager vacancy requires the following demonstrable skills:
* Qualified Chartered Accountant with significant PQE
* Strong, demonstrable, technical accounting knowledge
* Working knowledge of VAT UK Reverse Charge mechanism would be advantageous
* Experience of the construction / property industry would be advantageous
* Consolidation knowledge is desirable
* Strong financial and system skills including excellent Excel and/or SAP skills
