Job Description
The Business

Sellick Partnership have been engaged to recruit and interim Finance Manager on a 3-6 month basis. Our client is a forward thinking, dynamic business who are rapidly expanding within the software sector. This vibrant, SME organisation are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible individual to work alongside the Finance Director to oversee the entire finance function for the business and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

This opportunity offers a hybrid working week, with one day in the office in Manchester city centre.

The key responsibilities of the Interim Finance Manager is to ensure smooth transactional processes and produce monthly management accounts.

Daily duties include:

Assuming full responsibility for the finance function
Produce full monthly management accounts pack, including production of full P&L and balance sheet, along with full variance analysis and commentary
Ensure timely and efficient transactional processes including posting invoices (approximately 40/month) weekly payment runs, banking and processing payments using Sage Line 50
Processing employee expenses and overseeing the outsourced payroll function
Processing online transactions and assisting with any procurement duties where necessary
Assisting Finance Director with any ad-hoc projects and analysis required
Identify and implement any opportunities to streamline efficiencies where requiredThe ideal Finance Manager will:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (AAT/CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent, ideally from a small to medium sized business background. The successful candidate will ideally have experience within a similar role, where they have assumed full responsibility for a finance function.

This role requires an organised approach to working, and the use of Sage Line 50 would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be trustworthy and be able to work autonomously and show initiative.
