Job Description
NXTGEN are working with a rapidly expanding business based in Norwich city centre, who are looking to bring in a Finance Assistant. The business has never been in a better position than it is now, with the last 18 months seeing the company hit record revenues and they have also recently moved to a bigger office space to allow for that further growth. As Finance Assistant, you will be working closely with the Finance Director to provide financial and administrative support, by ensuring all tasks and responsibilities below are effectively completed to a high standard. This role is very varied, you will be overseeing both sides of the ledger, assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and various other duties as listed below.

Key responsibilities as Finance Assistant will include:

Assisting the preparation of monthly management accounts
Balance sheet reconciliations
Month end reporting
Bank reconciliations
ID facility management
Various AP and AR duties
Credit control tasks such as chasing outstanding debtors
Ad-hoc finance duties that may be asked of you by the Finance Director

Key skills and qualifications required for this position:

AAT Level 3, 4 or early stages of ACCA/CIMA
Experience in a Finance Assistant/Accounts Assistant role or similar
Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel
Self-motivated and able to prioritise a high workload
Strong communicator in person, over the phone and by e-mail
