Finance Assistant

Permanent Position

Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00

£22,000-£25,000 dependant on experience

Fully site based

Based in Daventry                                      

Our client is a progressive manufacturing business that specialise in advanced engineering and machining solutions for the automotive industry. They are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their expanding team that can adapt to a manufacturing environment with ease. The ideal candidate will have experience within an accounting position and confidence working within a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Processing purchasing invoices to the accounting system in a timely manner
Liaising with suppliers and the purchasing team to resolve any disputes or queries
Preparing supplier payment runs, reviewing supplier statements and setting up new supplier accounts in line with company policy.
Manage the goods received, not invoiced report and ensure all costs are recorded.
Responsible for processing employee expenses and ensuring monthly credit card statements and payments are reconciled to invoices and posted correctly.
Processing sales invoices when goods are despatched and resolving disputes with customers.
Credit control when required
Assisting with the preparation of the weekly cashflow report, updating transactions posted, accounts receivable and accounts payable
Month end reconciliations and preparing for month end and year end accounts and audit pack including intercompany balances, Fixed Asset reconciliation, customer and supplier reconciliations and many more.
General finance administration 

Finance Assistant

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualification Required

Previous experience within an accounts position
Experience working with ERP systems e.g. SAP, Sage, Dynamics etc
Confident working in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Strong IT skills
Happy to work within a small team
