Job Description

Business 1 = (Property Development) – We aim to create exclusive, contemporary and sustainable developments that fit seamlessly into the local environment. This business has received national recognition and its most recent development came 2nd in “Development of the Year under £10m” at the 2020 British Home Awards.
Business 2 = (Telecoms) – A Specialist Business Telecoms Service Provider. We bridge the gap between service providers and network operators, being large enough to offer a high quality, bespoke level of account management support, yet small enough to remain agile and responsive to our customers’ business telecom needs. We are an existing partner of BT, Gamma, O2, Vodafone, EE & Three.
Business 3 = (Software). We are a leading independent billing solution provider that aim to create an innovative, exciting and market leading billing solution that revolutionises the industry. The business was recently named as the UK’s Best Billing Platform Vendor at the 2021 Comms Business Awards.
We are expanding rapidly and so far, have created a fresh and dynamic team for which we are looking to add to greatly in the coming months and years.
This role, alongside carrying out the day-to-day accounting tasks, will require the candidate to be involved with influencing the long-term commercial strategies across all businesses within the group.
Responsibilities:
* Provide financial and commercial insight / analysis to drive financial performance
* Support the management team with the on-going complexities of contracts and client SLA’s
* Support the production of annual budgets and monthly forecasting
* Support the preparation of year end accounts
* Invoicing all customers on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
* Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
* Submission of quarterly VAT returns
* Submission of monthly CIS Returns
* Collecting monthly direct debits and making payments
* Support the completion of monthly payroll run
* Managing petty cash transactions and expenses
* Controlling credit and chasing debt
* Preparing and entering journals into the system
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and month-end duties
* Taking care of administrative tasks for audit purposes + record keeping
Key Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience working within an accounting / finance team.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Computer literacy and a working knowledge of accounting packages (Xero) and other relevant applications, such as spreadsheets
* Solid understanding of financial systems and processes
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and make recommendations
* Strong team player
