Developing Integrity Engineer

Salary: £18,000-£24,000

Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

Well, I am recruiting for a developing integrity engineer to join my client, a successful player in their sector.

Our client provides support services to the international energy industries, and are committed to changing energy, being both an energy for change and a reliable engineering partner within a transforming industry.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone that is looking to develop their skills through a progressive and award-winning organisation. The successful candidate will join the ODE AM developing engineer scheme and work towards recognised qualifications with support from ODE AM and colleagues. Occasional visits to offshore assets and other ODE offices will be required, the applicant must therefore be pro-active and open to flexible working.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Become familiar with the broad range of technologies, statutory regulations, codes of practice and offshore oil & gas/renewables industry standards/specifications

Develop an ability to analyse operational maintenance and integrity related data and produce sound, operational engineering reports and recommendations

Establish and maintain maintenance and integrity databases for new and existing assets (topsides and subsea)

Development, execution, and subsequent close-out of annual topsides and subsea maintenance and inspection work programmes under the direction of the Integrity Engineers and Asset Support Manager

Assist in the planning, cost estimating, and review of new condition monitoring and inspection technologies/techniques as required

Work in accordance with existing ODE engineering and operations procedures and good industry practice

Willingness and determination to broaden and apply their range of knowledge and skills

Willingness and ability to work on multiple/concurrent work fronts

Attention to detail

Ethical, open-minded, diplomatic, and be able and willing to express their opinions and defend their professional judgement

Self-starter and able to complete allocated tasks within allotted timescales to the required standard

Willingness to travel/work away from home in support of operations/integrity related projects

Ability to produce technical reports to a high standard in the English language using MS Office software

Qualifications:

Relevant Engineering or Science Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
