The Role
We have a brand new position available within the Defined Benefit Operations Team here at Just, which we call a DB Technical Analyst. After the new business contracts have been signed, the data has been cleansed and the true-up has completed, the schemes are handed to the DB Administration team to ensure that all the requisites that have been agreed to with the trustees are met on an ongoing basis.

Within this Technical Analyst Role you will provide technical support, guidance and training to the DB Administration team. As well as working on a number of different operational tasks from making/approving monthly payroll payments to managing customer queries and complaints.

You'll also work closely with our Third Party Administration operational team and the Implementation team by providing support with administrative and member queries. So being able to organise and prioritise work to ensure that SLA's and standards are met is absolutely vital within this role. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Just meets the obligations that we have agreed to, in line with the FCA, PRA and TPR rules and regulations.

You will

Provide technical support and guidance to the DB Administration team relating to Benefit Specification documents.
Ensure that the Operational Teams are kept up to date with regard to specific technical and legislative issues relevant to DB de-risking by way of research, analysis and liaison with industry bodies.
Identify risks and administrative requirements presented by existing and proposed DB related legislation and regulations.
Review process guides and maps to ensure that they meet legislative and regulatory requirements, ensuring they adhere to the TCF, Conduct and vulnerable customer principles.
Action DB policy administration as required, working with TPA, including dealing with member queries, DSAR's and complaints.
Check monthly payroll funding reports, trustee reports and payment authorisations when required.
Assist with TPA Payroll and TPA Operational audits.
Maintain operational MI for monitoring, trend analysis and forecasting.
Engage in process and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead on internal and external kick off meetings, linking specific requirements to the administration capability.
Review the contract summary and benefit specification documentation, sharing bespoke information with the administration team, in preparation for handover meetings.
Prepare and check Trustee reports as required.
Design and deliver training that is appropriate for internal as well as TPA staff members.
Support the DB Implementation Managers and the New Business team with their administrative matters and any queries.
Assist with any Business Acceptance Testing for change initiatives relating to system improvements.You are

Knowledgeable of DB Pensions, with a strong technical understanding of their legislation, taxation and regulatory framework.
Experienced working alongside/for a TPA administering DB Pensions or Bulk Purchase Annuity products.
Knowledgeable of DB de-risking administration requirements, with a good understanding of how they differ from standard pensions administration.
Able to give constructive feedback and provide regular updates to management.
Able to manage your own workloads and prioritise a number of different tasks based on business volumes and priorities.
A strong team player, who is able to establish and communicate priorities with a number of people to ensure adequate support is given to the team and TPA's.
Excellent at both verbal and written communication, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
Results orientated and able to work under pressure to achieve objectives within agreed timescales, without compromising the quality of service provided.
Flexible, with the ability to collaborate and work as part of a team in a fast moving environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages; with good skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
Experienced within the Pensions Industry
Experienced in working for a DB Pensions De Risking company (Beneficial)
Extensively experienced in DB calculation routines.
Experienced in providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
Experienced in working with non-standard processes and systems.
