Job Description
Our client, a global bank, is seeking a Credit Risk Manager to join their team in London. This role will report directly to the Head of Financial Institutions within Credit Risk.
Responsibilities:
Global responsibility for the analysis, rating and monitoring of UK banks and building societies including oversight of SLB credit limit appetite and monitoring.
Ensuring sound credit practices and assessment are applied to new approvals and appropriate monitoring of existing counterparties is undertaken on an ongoing and regular basis.
Analysis of credit risk aspects of Treasury and Capital Markets products
Close ongoing liaison with other risk centres
Close ongoing liaison with Trading and Sales colleagues
Attendance, presentation at relevant credit, risk committees in relation to relevant issues.
Skills and knowledge:
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject:Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Sciences, or Mathematics.
In depth product knowledge of the range of derivative,repo,stock lending products, collateral management methodology and legal,documentation issues, to allow the risk factors to be thoroughly identified and understood
Experience in undertaking financial and qualitative credit analysis of banks.
Ability to analyse and proactively manage limit and transaction requests.
Broad all round credit knowledge of UK banks and building societies.
Track record of delivering assigned activities within the prescribed timeframes and quality, supporting delivery of KPIs
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence at all levels
