Job Description
Credit Controller

Telford

Permanent

Salary – £20k – £26k

Monday – Friday – 37.5 hours per week

Our well-established client is looking for a Credit Controller to join their finance team on a permanent basis. You will be joining a growing, financially secure business who can offer a clean and modern working environment.

Duties:

* To maintain a tidy ledger and to operate a robust credit control including sending customer statements and reminders, regular reviews of customer credit worthiness, legal action if required to recover overdue accounts and pro-active calls in advance of large customer payments becoming due

* To help minimise DSO

* To process sales ledger transactions

* To develop a detailed understanding of the customer base

* Measurement of KPIs and operation of control checks to drive efficiency and manage risk

* Reconciling the closing the sales ledger promptly at month end to enable the period-end reporting process to run efficiently

* Assisting with the annual audit.

Skills and Experience

You will need to have previous experience of working in a Credit Control position. You will need a positive can-do attitude with a customer focused approach. You will need to be comfortable talking to customers on the phone too.
