Job Description
Our client based in Quedgeley are creators of exclusive furnishing fabrics for domestic and commercial interiors. Between them and the co-owning company they export to Europe, Africa & the Americas, Asia and the Middle East! Due to internal promotion, they currently have an opportunity for a permanent Credit Controller to join the team.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager and working alongside another credit controller, you will be responsible for the smooth and accurate running of the sales ledger to ensure good customer relations and minimal overdue debt.

Responsibilities:
– Posting customer receipts
– Communicating with customers via telephone and email to take payment and collect debt
– Resolving customer queries in a timely manner
– Raise credit notes
– Email out invoices, credit notes, statements and chase up letters from accounting system
– Regular review of ledgers
– Monthly debt reporting to management and sales teams
– Regular review of credit limits and credit risk, undertaking credit checks to ensure the company’s debt exposure is managed effectively
– Ensure that the company’s credit insurance policy is adhered too. Preparing claims to insurers when necessary
– Escalating bad debts to litigation/debt collection if appropriate
– Ensure that accurate records of all customer contact are maintained
– Work closely with all other departments to ensure the smooth running of the business and department

Salary – Up to £25k + Quarterly bonus
Hours – Monday – Friday – 8.45am – 5pm
