Job Description
Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Castleford, WF10

Basic salary: £22,000 – £25,000 DOE + benefits + individual monthly bonus scheme

Type: Permanent with 2 days hybrid home working

A fantastic Facilities Services company in Castleford are recruiting again, this time for a Credit Controller to join their expanding finance team. In 15 years they have grown to 47 sites across the UK, 2,300 employees and turnover circa £200 million.

You'll support the Credit Control team and ultimately improve business cash collection performance and profitability and minimise bad debt and increase cash flow within the business.

Responsibilities will include:

Manage own ledger(s), ensuring that cash collection is made within customer payment terms
Managing multiple ledgers across various Business Divisions
To actively drive the reduction in invoice queries within the wider business
To highlight any issues to the Senior Credit Controller/Manager that may impact cash collection
Prepare monthly ledger reports, detailing any reasons for variances
Any other duties and ad-hoc projects as directed for the Credit Manager

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years previous experience gained in a similar role and an understanding of Credit Control
Excellent IT, especially Excel skills (Pivots and Vlookups etc) and SAGE 200 accounting
Experience of Construction Industry collections, via applications and retention's advantageous
MCICM part or fully qualified would be advantageous
Resilient, proactive, hands on individual with strong result orientation
Capable of focusing on both immediate needs and long term system reporting improvements
Strong personal organisation with proven query resolution and problem solving skills
Ability to build strong relationships
