Job Description
C++/Python Developer in the City of London. This role comes with the opportunity to migrate an entire system from an external platform to an internal one for our financial services client.

Client Details

Our client is a leading investment bank striving for excellence in its technology division. The front office credit derivatives and flow rates risk generation systems are distributed compute grid platforms written in C++/Python and built on Windows architectures. The first runs on DataSynapse technology whilst the latter uses an in-house grid solution.

Description

The successful C++/Python Developer will;

Migrate the system from an external/third-party grid distribution platform to an internal one, and continued optimisation of the system to make best use of the grid resources;
Quickly assimilate the DVS/FPS infrastructures;
Help breakdown the project requirements into separate tasks before proceeding to design, implement and unit test functionality in a 2 week development sprint;
Scrum team work with business analysts, application support and staging testers is vital to our development process. There is also a strong relationship with the quantitative research group.Profile

XML/XSLT
Python 2.7/3.x
Windows API

5 years 'hands on' IT experience on a production multi-tier systems.
