Job Description
The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are working with an Edinburgh City centre accounting firm in the recruitment of a Corporate Tax senior manager. The role will report into the director of Tax and will be based in the office at least 3 days per week.

The role has been the result of growth over the past few years and will intern be accountable or the future growth of the department. He role will predominantly be corporate tax focused although there will be some elements of personal tax involved also (80%/20% split).

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide a portfolio of customers with tax advice, tax planning and tax compliance. The client base will be diverse and you will be the main point of contact in building and maintaining the relationships with customers.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Responsible for the day to day management of an allocation of relatively complex clients.
Produce meaningful and insightful tax computations for your clients to digest and understand.
Identify tax planning opportunities for your client base and present them accordingly.
Deal with complex tax planning work and other one-off tax exercises required on a case-by-case basis.
Support the tax team in the delivery of an effective and collegiate tax department by spreading the workload between all.

The Requirements
We are seeking a CTA qualified tax professional and who is confident in conducting client meetings and guiding them on tax matters. It is highly desired that applicants be ICAS/CA/ACCA qualified accountants also. Ideally, applicants will have a mixed tax background including corporate and personal tax. The department is incredibly efficient and well run and as such we are seeking applications from forward thinking and highly intelligent accountants. Due to the complexities of the UK tax system, we are seeking applicants who have experience of working in tax within the UK.

COVID19 statement
Our client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a blended working model, the model that we are working with is 60% in the office and 40% working at home. If, however, applicants wish to work longer in the office the option is available to them
