SEA is a key supplier of high-integrity software, products and services for engineering environments in a range of sectors. Primarily working within Defence, we pride ourselves on providing quality solutions to complex challenges.
As Commercial Manager, you'll take on a high level of autonomy and responsibility, providing effective commercial management and governance of contracts, projects, bids and frameworks. You'll provide sound commercial and legal advice to support the development of all commercial offerings for our Defence division, working closely with divisional managers, bid managers, and PMs to guarantee the quality and integrity of all commercial activities.
What are we looking for?
You're a proven commercial manager, with experience in drafting and negotiating contractual T&Cs; a strong financial awareness; excellent communication and analytical skills and the ability to work with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
Perhaps you've worked with government agencies within the defence sector, and have a good understanding of export control requirements? The right person will have:
o Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating contractual terms and conditions, at both bid stage and post contract management
o Familiar with Defence contracting
o Strong financial awareness and understanding of internal budgets/costs and external pricing
o Strong written, communication and analytical skills; ability to work with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels. o Familiarity with Export Control requirements including ITAR/EAR
o Able to work accurately and under pressure, managing high volumes of work when required o Line management experience

Joining a high-performing team in a growing department, you'll will enjoy a strong degree of autonomy and associated responsibility. Reporting into the Head of Commercial, your responsibilities will include:
o Commercial management of bids in line with company processes and governance requirements, from input into proposal drafting and pricing through to negotiation and contracting phases
o Post Contract Management, including contract change process and participation in project reviews
o Creation of innovative commercial solutions and process improvement initiatives in support of the Defence division
o Input into divisional budget, order intake and forecast processes
o Line management of Commercial Officer and engagement in continuous improvement initiatives
o Providing Commercial support to other SEA business divisions, as required
