Job Description
Are you an effective business partner looking for a blended role that encompasses both FP&A and Commercial Finance? This brand new Commercial Finance Manager role offers exactly that as you play a significant role in ensuring this division achieves both it's financial and strategic objectives. This is a visible role, interacting with a range of operational and commercial stakeholders to provide insight on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns as well as identifying opportunities to improve profitability. As Commercial Finance Manager, you will also play a key role in accessing the viability of commercial tenders, modelling a range of medium and long term scenarios to each has an effective business case.
As this global business goes through an exciting period of growth and transformation, it is expected that the successful candidate will also have further opportunities to develop and progress. The Commercial Finance Manager will also be tasked with deputising for the Head of Finance in cross department strategy meetings, as required.
Key responsibilities within the role will include:
Support the delivery of month end reporting packs for cost centre's as well as reviewing P&L and Balance Sheet performance
Attend monthly performance review meetings, analysing the commercial performance of business units as well as influencing key strategic decisions
Review commercial tenders and business opportunities, analysing the potential commercial gain of each business case
Analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and online strategies to ensure ROI
Support with the budgeting and forecasting cycles
Ad hoc project supportThe successful candidate will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) with prior experience working within a similar commercial finance or Finance Business Partnering role. You will be an excellent communicator and someone who thrives in an environment where you are exposed to a range of Director level stakeholders. Given the high volumes of data to be analysed within this role, candidates will need to be advanced users of Excel and will be confident using data tables as well as complex financial models. Your ability to constructively challenge stakeholders as well as influence key commercial decisions will be key to succeeding in this role
