Commercial Analyst – a growing private equity-backed retailer
Nottingham
£45,000 – £50,000 + 7.5% bonus + benefits
Hybrid working – work from home 2/3 days a week
The company
KennelPak are a rapidly growing retailer that has just grown over 50% during its last financial year. They are recruiting a Commercial Analyst for this newly created role. They are a values-driven, growing company which has big plans for the future!
The role
As a Commercial Analyst, you will have a passion for analytics and be responsible for developing and enhancing the commercial insights capability. You will drive not only the analysis of company-wide data but develop clear insight for a wide range of stakeholders. You will deliver the highest quality reporting and analysis to support the business through a period of rapid growth.
Responsibilities
* Design and propose new approaches to data analysis and outputs to deliver efficiency and decision support.
* Investment appraisal – planning and monitoring to ensure investments and expenditure yield the highest possible return (new stores, marketing, warehouse etc).
* Consider and implement methods of automating regular analysis.
* Work with the finance team to ensure all system-generated data is fit for analytical purposes.
* Anticipate, answer, and provoke key questions such as identifying areas of underperformance, and underlying trends that require proactive plans.
* Partner with key stakeholders from different departments to collect and deliver business requirements.
* Develop, build and maintain a suite of dashboards to enable the department to track performance, customer behaviour profitability and fulfilment.
* Enable data from multiple sources to be stitched together so that a thorough end-to-end analysis of eCommerce traffic sources, conversion, orders, and product line detail can be undertaken.
* Customer analytics.
The person
You will be a problem solver and someone who has commercial experience in data, Power BI, reporting and analytics. It is essential that you have:
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Advanced level use of Power BI including experience building dashboards or evidence of expertise in similar tools.
* Advanced level use of Microsoft Excel.
