Job Description
Azure Project Manager
£650 PD – Outside IR35 – 6 Months Contract
Hybrid Role – Remote and then based in Northampton as required
Working within the Financial Services sector on a Cloud Migration Programme which is migrating on-prem applications to Microsoft Azure Cloud.
As the Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring assigned infrastructure activities relating to on-prem applications being Re-Hosted, Re-Factored and Re-Platformed are delivered to time, budget, and quality.
The infrastructure delivery teams are already in place and this role is an overarching project management role, activity associated with their deliverables.
The Key Requirements
* Overall accountability for the delivery of Infrastructure build activity associated with the migration of on-premise applications to the Microsoft Azure Cloud
* Planning of Infrastructure / build activity to a detailed level allowing for potential impacts to be identified at the earliest stage and remediated before impacting on overall progress
* Ensure project dependencies are aligned between the Cloud Programme, our 3rd Party Cloud provider and Infrastructure delivery teams
* Understand the technical detail of the project, communicating to technical resources in order to coordinate technology groups to deliver specified requirements
* Building strong relationships across cross-functional teams is key, as is the ability to influence and communicate the programmes vision, ultimately achieving buy-in from key stakeholders
* Creation and maintenance of relevant project documentation based on business requirements and planned programme activity
* Working closely with the relevant functional teams across the technical and support aspects, ensuring governance gates are met
* Ensuring projects are embedded successfully into business as usual (BAU) and that all company processes are adhered to, achieving business sign-off
Your experience
* You will be an experienced Infra PM, having experience with both software and hardware projects, with an understanding of Microsoft Azure and Cloud Migrations.
* Excellent reporting and communicating skills and able to influence at all levels
* Experience in data extraction and hardware systems
* Must have a solid technical background, with understanding or hands on experience in Infrastructure projects
* An understanding of the security requirements for an FCA regulated environment
* Some experience in software development and web technologies
* Stakeholder management experience is essential
