Cloud Architect – Contract Role

Financial Services

London based – 2/3 Days on site a week

Day Rate £650 inside IR35

You will be joining the IB Technology Architecture team within the IB CTO Office the Investment Bank based in London, Wroclaw, and Krakow. We are a collaborative, global team who are dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our customers using agile methods. You will focus on IB Cloud adoption, working with the Cloud Engineering, Education, Champions.

Your expertise

You are:

– Experienced with Azure cloud computing. (Useful to have AWS / GCP but necessary to have Azure)

– Experienced with DevOps Toolsets and understand the SDLC.

– A capable software engineer and architect

– A committed self-starter, reliable, responsive, and motivated to help teams to be successful

– An excellent communicator who can collaborate across the organization.

– Aware of on-going technology trends and know how to realize their benefits

– Flexible about what it takes to move the needle on cloud adoption.

You have:

– Have a knowledge and enthusiasm for Software Engineering & Architecture and at least five years' experience.

– Have worked with cloud native computing and understand and evangelize its value.

– Have migrated applications from a heritage on-premises architecture to a cloud-based architecture, with a comprehension of the changes required and trade-offs involved.

Exposure to a range of modern architectures including data streaming, real-time processing, distributed computing, cloud computing, reporting, visualization, analytics, machine learning and data warehousing

– Experience of working in large IT organizations and technology transformation programs

– Able to influence decision making indirectly; putting together reasoned, evidenced arguments, publishing and communicating clear guidance, building trusted relationships.

– Azure / AWS / GCP Cloud Certifications
