Location: Leicester

Summary

Our client – an established and well-respected firm of Chartered Accountants based in Leicester – is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their practice team to prepare clients’ accounts on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Bookkeeping to trial balance,
Profit and loss,
Balance sheet,
VAT return,
Processing payments via BACS,
Year-end processes,
Dealing with HMRC, keeping up to date with all the necessary legislation
Liaising with clients, partners & managers to ensure all information is received correctly.
The Right Person

Previous bookkeeping experience is essential,
Accountancy Practice experience is preferred, but not essential,
Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision,
Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills,
Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel & Word skills to a good standard. Ideally possess experience using Sage Line 50, Sage Desktop, Sage for Cloud or Quickbooks.
Package

Appointment Type: Permanent
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 full-time
Hours: 37.5 PW) – based in-house
Holiday 20 Days + Bank Holidays
