My client is an established firm of Chartered Accountants near Woking, specialising in entrepreneurial, challenging clients of various shapes and sizes. They are looking to recruit an ACA or ACCA qualified / recently qualified accountant with plenty of audit exposure.
Ideally you will live locally, be bright and energetic, with a ’can do’ attitude. You will be qualified even if this is a recent thing for you and have 3 -5 years audit experience gained in a Practice environment.
ACA / ACCA Qualified Audit Senior- About the Role
Our client is based in offices near to Woking and are recruiting due to continuing growth. They are a Chartered Accountancy Firm with a proven history of training and developing staff.
In this role you will work closely with the Audit Managers and Partners which great autonomy, you will of course be responsible for overseeing the work of junior members of staff.
The successful Qualified Audit Senior:
Liaise with the Senior Manager and Partner and clients to plan assignments
Lead and coach other members of the team
Plan a risk-based audit approach and design audit tests
Carry out appropriate work to meet audit objectives
Manage and control job budgets
Finalise files with Managers and Partners to review
Clear review points and correspond with clients
Approx 60/40% audit to accounts mix
The successful Qualified Audit Senior will have:
Extensive recent previous audit experience gained in a practice environment
Qualified or recently qualified ACA/ACCA or 1 years post qualified experience
With a minimum of 3 years’ experience
Strong technical skills and experience of UK GAAP FRS102 reporting
Experience of Paperless Audit Software and advantage
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
A team player who is also comfortable leading a team
Commercially astute and committed to developing the business.
Flexible and proactive approach.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is essential
A high standard of verbal and written communication skills as well as an excellent telephone manner
Attention to detail and accuracy
Driving license and car
