Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant Overhead Accountant to support our clients Cost Base team, working with Finance and Shared Service partners. The role will be variable, covering a number of administrative activities within the Cost base department including Labour reporting, functional variance analysis, Invoicing and support to month end close are some of the main activities.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide help to the Senior Cost Base accountant to manage the day to day administrative activities within the department, such as;

Maintaining employee data and labour recording records.
Analysis of various functional reporting data against Forecast. Head count and Overhead expense
Processing of Intercompany Invoicing from raising the request to submitting to Shared Services.
Monthly Accruals, Prepayments and other journals, support to Month End close.
Support to Compliance activities
Collaborating seamlessly with the wider cost base team and other stakeholders

Qualifications / Experience Essential:

Ability to communicate effectively
Experience of working to tight timescales and consistently meeting deadlines
Good attention to detail and ability to swiftly analyse numerical data
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Must have the ability to work well with others and be a committed team player
Excel skills and working knowledge of Oracle ERP systems (or equivalent)

Desirable skills:

Commenced or obtained Professional Qualifications within Accountancy
Experience gained within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous but not essential.
Knowledge of Cost Base

This role requires you to obtain a Criminal Record Check along with reference checks before starting.The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
