Job Purpose

The Assistant Management accountant role is an excellent opportunity for someone studying Accountancy.  You may be studying AAT (ideally you will be at level 4) or ACCA or CIMA, we offer an attractive Study Support package and excellent development from within an experience team of Accountants.  The role is to assist the management accounts team to ensure that management information is delivered in an accurate and timely manner to meet internal deadlines (where applicable).

Responsibilities 

·        Assist with the production of monthly management accounts, which includes posting of journals, calculation of accruals and prepayments, margins review

·        Assist with uploading of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for relevant companies 

·        Variance analysis where required

·        Providing internal analysis reports

·        Assist with balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany accounts and transactions; flagging issues and communicate these to the Finance Business Partner.

·        Assist in improving reporting and accounts production process

·        Assist with the yearend process and assist in dealing with audit queries

·        Support and cover Credit Control and Purchase Ledger when required

·        Production of accounts

·        Other ad hoc duties and projects as required

You will be a self-starter, eager to learn and progress with strong IT skills for communication and documentation (ie. Excel, Outlook, and Word) Accuracy skills are key for capturing information, and you will be studying either ACA/ACCA/CIMA or AAT part qualified. Experience of multi-currency ledgers and foreign exchange is an advantage but not essential.
