Job Description
Kingsley Consulting is recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager (Part Time) to join a large and growing Roofing Contractor. Our client is currently looking for a hardworking, team player to join the Finance Team working 3 days per week
 
Location: Ferring, West Sussex
Working hours: 08:00AM – 17:00PM (Can be Flexible on Time)
Days: Either Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (Ideally – however can be flexible on this also)
Salary: Negotiable Depending upon experience
 
Our client is a privately owned contractor with offices in Sussex, London and the Midlands. They boast a growing and profitable business, whilst retaining a family feel to the operation. They are strong investors into their people and support vocational learning and personal development throughout their business.
Currently, they are in an exciting phase of growth and have recently been awarded some exciting Projects. They operate within the: Commercial, Leisure, Industrial, Education, Retail Public Sector and MOD Contracts partnering with some of the largest main contractors in the UK. Their client base is growing monthly as they venture into new markets.
 
Based in Ferring, West Sussex the successful candidate will be positioned to support the Finance Manager and wider accounts team.
Candidates are to hold excellent administrative and analytical skills with the ability and experience to examine and compile financial reports.
 
Key responsibilities to include:
A number of routine and regular finance tasks including but not limited to.

Bank reconciliations
Setting up payments as directed
Processing bank payments and receipts
CIS, VAT & CT61 returns
Production of monthly CIS reports to subcontractors
Oversea subcontract payment processing
Process directly employed wages  
The following skills and experience are needed as a minimum

Sage 50 accounts and Payroll software (On premises, not web based preferable)
Experience of using sage for the task listed above
Confident in manipulating data in excel
Understanding of CIS and how it works
Understanding of the VAT reverse charge for construction
