Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to work in our Finance Department based in Kettering.
 
As an Assistant Accountant you will provide support and advice to the finance team, the China office and other departments.
 
Main duties of the role will include –

Deputise the financial controller in their absence including the preparation of management accounts and forecasts
Provide support and advice to the finance team, China office and other projects
Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Process expense claims and credit card statements
Maintaining accurate data on the company CRM system
Responsible for VAT reporting
Manage currency accounts and revaluations 
The ideal candidate must have proven multi-discipline accounts department experience including involvement in the production of monthly management accounts.
Preferably AAT qualified (or equivalent), the successful candidate will demonstrate their abilities as a team player, capable of developing others in order to strengthen the overall departmental skills matrix. Must have strong Excel skills, an understanding of the consolidation of accounts, payroll experience and foreign currency transactions would also be desirable.
