Accounts Payable Manager – Interim – 6 months
Birmingham, C £40,000/£42,000
Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional (or Finance Manager with In-depth AP/Treasury knowledge) with a strong understanding of Subcontractor and CIS rules?…..Oh…and available for a 6-month assignment for our South Birmingham client?…. You are…that’s great…we’d love to tell you a little more about this role
Our client is looking for some interim help for around 6 months, there has been so much going on within the business lately that things have just got a little behind and they need your professional help. It’s been a period of significant change with relocation, a new finance system and building a new local team…it’s been non-stop.
You’ll be supporting the local Accounts Payable team in a range of day-to-day activities that will include:-
* A hands-on approach to help clear the invoice and query backlog
* Processing high volume invoices, including Subcontractor payments with CIS calculations
* Processing and authorising payments to the supplier
* Statement reconciliations
* Reviewing aged credit and debit balances
* Support the Manager/Supervisor in KPI reporting
* Support the AP team in escalated queries
* Various other tasks as an assignment by the AP Management team
What do you need to bring to the table?
As you’ve probably picked up, this is a very hands-on role, you’ll need to be willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in with the day-to-day AP activities. Your experience and seniority will put you in a great position to be able to deal with the more complex queries and follow them through to a successful conclusion. You must have previous CIS experience as our client will need you to hit the ground running from day one.
