Job Description
Role Purpose: The role of the Accounts Payable Analyst involves providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the AP team leader or supervisor. The role is to ensure workloads are managed a timely and efficient manner. Be performance focused and have a control mindset.
Key Accountabilities and Duties:
Monitor and manage the workload of the team to ensure KPIs and SLAs are met.
Manage complex queries when the team are struggling with a response.
Manage all month end activities, workload clearance, accruals and intercompany.
To ensure controls are operated effectively and are clearly evidenced.
Develop effective working relationships with both internal departments and vendors and understand the urgency and impact to both vendors and the corporation.
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices Interact with auditors, accountants and management as needed to provide information about the department and specific AP request.
Education:
Level of accounting experience, GCSE or equivalent in n Math’s/ English.
Preferred area of study: AAT. Experience: Ideally within SSC. Licenses or Certifications: AAT or equivalent.
Knowledge:
ERP (SAP) and excellent Excel skills (including vlookups and pivot tables) and OCR. German knowledge. Customer service experience is a plus.
