The Finance Operations Manager Role:

We are on the look out for a Finance Operations Manager to join our Colchester Finance team, who holds great leadership qualities, is passionate and motivated and can challenge a process to drive improvement. As the manager of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, you will establish strong relationships, acting as the go-to person for invoicing, payments, treasury and cash receipts. With an approachable, collaborative and firm but fair style you will be the gatekeeper of Finance processes to the wider business.

Our Finance team needs a leader who can give clear direction and on-hand day to day support. You will have the opportunity to shape the Operational Finance team as the business continues its growth journey whilst developing as an individual.

Your Responsibilities:

+ Manage all processes of the Operational Finance function, including AP/AR, owning both the Debtors and Creditors ledger.
+ Act as the Finance lead to stakeholders across the business
+ Driving the function to deliver all required postings inline with the monthly management accounts timetable.
+ Drive continuous improvement in processes and efficiencies
+ Maintain GRNI to acceptable level, supporting AP team to drive down queried stock deliveries across both UK and PL site.
+ Manage supplier relationships from Finance perspective, acting as a point of escalation
+ Ownership of internal PO process including system administration, internal adherence to process, tracking and reporting on any breaches to policy.
+ Monitor short-term cash flow to ensure payment can be raised by the team in a timely manner
+ Review weekly payments on the bank to ensure they have been raised to the correct bank details and against approved, correctly recognised invoices.
+ Oversee Amazon from a transactional perspective to ensure correct and complete classification of sales invoices and marketing and operational costs.
+ Support FC with audit tasks and manage the operational team to meet audit substantive testing requirements.
+ Maintain and develop the operational Finance team of 8 people
+ Drive and support the team to achieve their objectives to ensure the overall delivery of the function.
+ Continuously improve efficiencies through the team by improving processes and providing quality training.
+ Identify resource risk and plan ahead to ensure deliverables of the function are still met.
+ Act as the lead of Finance transactional systematic testing with involvement in any project where either AP or AR are impacted.
+ Deliver controls improvements through process change management across the team as required by the Financial Controller.

About You:

+ 2+ years’ experience in Finance Management.
+ AAT Qualified as a minimum.
+ Process driven with ability to implement change.
+ Strength in accounting system and understanding requirements of Finance function.
+ Highly organised with the ability to work to tight and pressured timelines.
+ Strong work ethic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
