Job Description
My client who is a food business in Northallerton is currently looking for an efficient and accurate Accounts Assistant.

This role is an exciting opportunity to join a company who are going through an incredible growth period.

The role: (included but not limited to)

Working efficiently and effectively to organise the workload within the accounts function and to ensure customer service is of a high standard

Matching delivery notes with the relevant purchase invoices and posting them to the ledger

Ensure all costs are accurate and request credits where appropriate

Running calculations to ensure that records and payments are accurate

Maintaining spreadsheets

Where any discrepancies arise with purchase invoices, raise this with the Accounts Manager in order that a timely resolution can be identified

Update Sage accounting system with monthly control accounts and statement reconciliations

Produce sales reports for directors and managers

The candidate:

Previous knowledge and experience of using Sage

Previous basic Accounts experience

Proven track record of achieving improvements within the area of responsibility

Strong influencing skills

Excellent communication skills; ability to liaise with varying stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external

Confident in dealing and liaising with external customers and stakeholders
