Accounting Technician Job in Kilkenny County
Job Description
Experienced Accounting Technician required by our client, a busy service company based at their offices on the Waterford/Kilkenny border. The overall purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the accounts function.
Main duties and responsibilities will include;
* Oversee all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
* Process employee payroll including Revenue submissions
* Prepare monthly Profit and Loss and sales reports
* VAT bi-monthly reports, review, checks and filing.
* Oversee and ensure timely recording of banking transactions and preparations of bank reconciliations.
* Manage all financial activities including payments, invoices, expenses etc
* Ensure compliance with all regulations and internal controls
* Prepare the monthly finance tracking report and analyse variances, with a view to better matching performance to expectation.
* Prepare cash forecasts and produce a running cash flow statement.
* Prepare documents for and liaise with external auditors for statutory year end accounts
Skills and experience
* Must be qualified to Accounting Technician level
* Ideally have 3+ years experience in a similar role
* Experience of accounts packages is essential
* Strong IT skills
* Team player with excellent inter-personal skills, who can establish and maintain excellent relationships within the team, internal stakeholders and external customers
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to take individual ownership for delivering quality work
* Highly organised and ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities
* Deadline orientated
