Accounting team leader

Burgess Hill – not accessible by public transport

£38,000 – £42,000

An accountant to work with the Finance Manager and oversee the financial accounting team is required for Hunters’ privately owned, prestigious and global aircraft component support client. The purpose of the role is to supervise and lead the team in meeting company and statutory filing requirements, production of quarterly financial accounts, and reconciliation of financial information. To promote learning and development within the team. To ensure all data is recorded accurately and efficiently across all company groups and all monthly reporting requirements are met within deadlines.

Monday to Friday 9-5.30

Accounting team leader Responsibilities:

* Work with the Financial Accounting Team Leader for production of quarterly and year-end accounts (across a range of group companies)

* Assisting with VAT returns and overseas financial returns

* Intercompany recharging and reconciling

* Work with all departments of the business for finance compliance (UK and Overseas)

* Correspond with Company Auditors and Tax Advisors (UK and Overseas)

* Assisting with internal financial reporting where required

Accounting team leader Requirements:

* Previous experience managing staff in a Finance team would be advantageous

* Previous experience working in Finance Practice would be advantageous, but not essential

* Accountancy qualifications or suitably Qualified by Experience

* Ability to work on own initiative and as an effective team member essential

* Knowledge of MS Dynamics Nav or Quantum would be advantageous, but not essential

* Analytical thinking with reporting skills and problem-solving ability
