Accountant (Manufacturing Industry)

£35,000 – £45,000 (DOE) Excellent Company Benefits + Bonus + Pension

An Excellent opportunity to join a multibillion turnover, Global Leader in the automotive sector as an Accountant. You will utilise your skills in Accounting and Finance to work alongside this high performing accounts team.

On Offer is an Accountant role with an award winning, well established and leading company based in South Wales. You will be an integral part of the accounts team leading the way within the Manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish product standard costs as part of the annual budget process.
Analysis and reporting of product profitability, identifying variances verses budget and reporting to the Financial Controller and Divisional Profitability Analyst.
Finance point of contact for product quotations to sales teams, liaising with other departments to understand the impact of customer change requests and calculating the change to sales prices.
Month-end close process and analysis, support with preparation of forecasts & budgets particularly with regards to direct material & overheads. Analysis of direct material purchase price variances verses standard.
Inventory management & reporting including the main finance point of contact for the annual stocktake. Work closely with logistics & operations to understand monthly inventory changes and causes of variances.The candidate should have:

CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified, with minimum 2 years post qualification
Experience in a manufacturing organisation.
Costing experience.
Ability to work to tight deadlines in a faced paced environment.
