Treasury Assistant

Full-Time / Permanent (Mon – Fri: 08:45 – 17:00)

Sutton Coldfield / Head Office (Hybrid flexibility working available)

£22,108 per annum + company benefits

We are currently recruiting within our established Finance Team and are looking for a hard-working individual to join the Dignity family as a Treasury Assistant. You will report to the Asset & Reconciliations Manager to ensure all specified bank reconciliations are completed on a timely basis, overseeing all operational receipts and payments are input and reconciled to Oracle General Ledger as well as preparing daily cash forecast reports.

What will I be doing as a Treasury Assistant? 

As a Treasury Assistant, you will have a key involvement in external audit processes for both half and year-end. You will maintain and produce reconciliations for multiple bank accounts across the group as well as provide operational support for Treasury-related queries. 

Other duties will include: 

Preparation of daily cash forecast reports
Issue new and replacement signatory mandates on group bank accounts from across the business
Submit new and amend existing Standing Order and Direct Debits
Process ad-hoc payment requests directly through the online banking process.
Preparation and posting of journals to ensure accurate accounting of bank movement 

What Do I Need?

Hands on experience within an accounts department 
Experience of Bank Reconciliations and month-end processes and deadlines
Experience of Purchase Ledger or Sales Ledger
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in Oracle would be desirable or any other accounting programmes
Organised, inquisitive and detail-orientated with strong technical and communication skills
A proactive approach to work and problem solving and the ability to spot and resolve issues as they occur
