Job Description
A market-leading business based in Manchester City Centre are looking to recruit a diligent and skilled Transactional Finance Manager to join their dynamic finance function on a permanent basis. The role lies within an exciting new division which is proving to be extremely successful and lucrative. The role will look after a multitude of responsibilities and you will lead a strong transactional team of AP clerks, AR Clerks, Treasury and a Senior Finance Assistant.
As the Finance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Transactional Finance department as well as providing support for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Banking/Treasury and Finance Administration
Key responsibilities
Lead the accounts receivable team to ensure regular review of payment status and accurate credit control data
Lead the accounts payable team to ensure the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices
Ownership of all AP and AR processes, including development and implementation
Responsible for ensuring all bank accounts are regularly reconciled and receipts/payments are allocated
Maintenance of UK and foreign bank accounts
Maintenance and development of cash flow forecasting
Delivery of month end close timetable for specific areas
Proactively identify, research and recommend improvements to systems, structures, procedures and practises within the department to ensure efficient and effective business operations, and implement changes once approved
Support business change projects with particular attention to process and control implications of key decisions
Provide finance operational support to the businesses as required
To work collaboratively with senior stakeholders within and outside of finance
Key Skills required:
Have previous accounts experience including AP/AR and banking functions
Excellent attention to detail
Good knowledge of MS excel and finance systems
Strong communication skills
Able to work under pressure and to tight month-end deadlines
Ability to work within a team environment
Logical and methodical thinker
