Job Description
Our client, a UK's leading retailer is looking for a Tax Manager to join them in a time of unprecedented growth. This successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the group's tax compliance processes as well as advisory information to the wider business.

Key responsibilities of the Tax Manager

Prepare and submit the corporation tax returns for UK companies, one Irish entity and two branch returns
Prepare and arrange UK quarterly instalment payment calculations
Manage the group's tax financial reporting obligations and liaise with external auditors as required
Review tax returns for two overseas entities (prepared by external advisors)
Maximise available capital allowances by working alongside group's external advisers and the internal Property team
Monitor and manage tax risks across the business and communicate developments in tax legislation to the wider Finance team
Prepare quarterly US GAAP calculations
Monitor and manage the group's transfer pricing documentation and corporate interest restriction position, working with advisors as necessary
Review and submit the monthly UK VAT return and overseas entity VAT returns
Manage the VAT process, including MTD changes and VAT treatment of imports and exports
Oversee preparation of overseas VAT returns under distance selling regulations
Review and update SAO documentation and processes

Key essentials of the Tax Manager

Chartered Accountant (e.g., ACA/ACCA) and/or equivalent tax qualification
Strong technical knowledge of corporation tax and VAT
Strong communicator and experience liaising with key stakeholders
