Job Description
SQL Developer – Permanent Role
London based 1 day a week on site
£40,000 to £50,000 per annum
Reporting into an Enterprise Architect, this is a fantastic opportunity where you will lead change and drive value for our customers through the design and provision of domain and solution architectural consultancy and guidance
Required Skills:
* Extensive SQL skills with at least 2+ years professional experience
* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server implementations including Stored Procedures, Functions, Indexes, Constraints and SSIS packages
* Experience with source control tools, e.g. Git, Azure DevOps
* Practical and theoretical knowledge of core ETL architectural principles such as modularity, restartability, and table-driven business rules
* Understanding of information delivery architecture including the creation of abstraction layers, SQL query paths and optimization, report level calculations and end user reporting architecture
Beneficial Skills:
* Experience with working with SDLC e.g. Agile Methodology
* Experience of best practices around database design and dimensional data modelling
* Experience integrating/migrating data from other platforms/organisations
* Exposure with one or more Enterprise Cloud Data Warehouses, eg Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery
* Experience working closely with a BI team to ensure data structures are in place to support reporting requirements
* Experience with programming languages, such as Python or R
* Experience with BI tools, eg Tableau, Looker, Quicksights, PowerBI
* Experience of Salesforce, including an understanding of Salesforce data model
* Working knowledge of and desire to get more involved in data mining, advanced analytics, predictive modelling, and machine learning
* Understanding of wider BI Architecture
