Job Description
Senior Finance Manager

Location: Berkshire, UK

To support our client’s growth, we are recruiting for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to support their current business, imminent growth & acquisition strategy. The business is looking for a fully qualified accountant who has experience within a multi-site business and with familiarity of operating within a company that has overseas ownership.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller the successful candidate will have responsibility for their own autonomous business unit, setting the agenda for success and liaising with the parent company.

The role:

* Direct financial responsibility for the standalone operating division

* Overall responsible for the growth and development of the divisional finance team

* To lead the financial side of the division’s annual strategic plan

* To lead, develop, prepare & submit both the annual budget and quarterly forecasts to group

* To have oversight and leadership of the month end close and reporting process

* To have responsibility for the accurate and efficient preparation and submission of the divisional monthly reporting pack ensuring analysis and supporting narrative is effective.

* To support review and approve fixed assets

* To support the integration of new entities, or acquisitions into Microsoft Dynamics

* To support the integration and reporting process for new acquisitions

* To provide ad-hoc support for the corporate parent as well as the broader finance team

The person:

* Degree educated, or equivalent

* Qualified chartered accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)

* Proven management experience within a corporate finance team

* Proven experience within an accounting and finance team within a fast-paced multi-site international business (Europe or USA)

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI is preferred

* M&A Integration experience is preferred

* Exceptionally strong communication skills both written and verbal

* Strong technical accounting skills within a matrix structured organisation

* Ability to analyse and explain financials to non-financial staff

* High level of knowledge around the Microsoft suite of products particularly Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint

* High level of skills learning and navigating ERP systems

* Proactive in finding issues and anomalies to drive continuous improvement across a finance function
