Sheridan Maine is partnering with a manufacturing business based in southwest Dorset who are recruiting a Senior Finance Assistant into their team. This is a good opportunity for a part qualified /studier of an accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA) to join a growing company and achieve good career growth.

Responsibilities of the Senior Finance Assistant include:

* Preparation of VAT returns

* Cash flow preparation

* Cash-book management

* Inter-company reconciliations

* Balance sheet reconciliations

* Foreign currency monitoring and hedging

* Process expenses and journals

* Assist with statutory reporting and accounts

* Provide audit support when required

The successful Senior Finance Assistant will require the following attributes:

* Good basic tax knowledge

* High levels of accuracy and excellent analytical skills

* Able to think on feet in complex or sensitive situations

* Any experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX is useful but not essential
