Job Description
Business Development Executive – £32,000- £38,000

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join a well-established facilities service based in Milton Keynes. The right candidate will be working on a brand-new modern site, with 28 holidays per year and access to a bonus scheme. You will be expected to
identify new business opportunities and generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow working closely with their clients and colleagues.

Key duties of a Business Development Executive:

Research and identify new business opportunities
Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation to generate leads
Compile information gathered pre-bid for distribution to the bid team
Set up response templates and styles which align with the team's branding
Develop and manage a schedule of deliverables throughout the bid phase
Set up and manage document control procedures
Establish and maintain the document management system
formatting and designing bid submission templates, producing graphics and presentation material for submissions
Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone to foster and develop relationships.
Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture
Draw up client contracts – this task may be completed by someone else within the commercial team.
Ensure staff are on board throughout the organisation
Train members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate
Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
The successful Business Development Executive will:

Demonstrate ability to drive self and others to deliver within tight time constraints
Support the identification and development of the overall tender strategy as part of the wider Bid Team
Have demonstrable experience writing original and compelling bid content reflecting the client's stated or implied needs and the agreed tender strategy
Possesses a good understanding of the Public Procurement Regulations and how these impact the Client and the Contractor
Be commercially aware with excellent working knowledge of standard form contracts and associated contractor risks. Familiar with different Contract types, including Framework Agreements and Dynamic Purchasing Systems
Experience of working within a contracts/tendering role (Ideally within a fire safety environment)
