With a cutting-edge laboratory, advanced manufacturing capability based in three sites in the UK and Europe, and a high calibre of skilled workers and material chemists, they focus on developing the best compound mixes for their global customer base.
They now require a full time and permanent Purchase Ledger Clerk to oversee all aspects of their Account Payable practices and processes. You will support business needs, ensure correct accounting and the proper implementation of statutory regulation. Any necessary training will be provided. You will be a key part of the finance team and report to the Management Accountant & CFO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Sort, code, review and verify invoices
* Match invoices to Receipts
* Enter invoices into Finance system
* Supplier statement reconciliation
* Run and post payment proposals
* Track employee expenses and process expense reports
* Ensure HMRC compliance on VAT and employees’ expenses
* Check and reconcile C79 certificate
* Maintain supplier files and administration
* Monitor supplier accounts to ensure payments are up to date
* Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
* Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
* Assist with month end closing
* Assist accounts department when required
* Provide supporting documentation for audits
* Verifies supplier account balances by reconciling monthly statements, goods received and related transactions
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* At least one-year Purchase Ledger experience or AAT
* Experience working on Sage X3 is advantageous
* Knowledge of trade compliance
* Knowledge of general accounting procedures
* Experience of accounting software
* Proficient in data entry and management
* Organising and prioritising
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Confidentiality
* Strong team spirit and great enthusiasm to meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills and excellent telephone manor
