Job Description
Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: Near Canterbury, (Office based)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm

Salary: £24k – £28k

The company: Based in a scenic Countryside location with modern offices and free parking.

The team: You'll be part of a supportive finance team of 14

The position: This role will report to the Finance Director and you will be responsible for the administration and reconciliation of purchases and payments.

Your key responsibilities within the role would be:

Ensuring accounts payable are logged and suppliers are paid on time or notified of any queries
Maintain good supplier records, update terms and payment records
Build good relationships with key suppliers
Obtain appropriate levels of approvals to facilitate payment
Regularly review supplier statements against entries on the system to identify invoices not yet received, requesting copies where applicable
Re-distribute unpassed invoices to other business units and request authorisation
KPI reporting to management
Investigating purchase ledger queries Key skills and experience required for this role:

An understanding of a Purchase Ledger function
Methodical and organised approach to work & the ability to analyse and solve problems
Experience working with Microsoft Office suite, in particular MS Excel
Pegasus Opera experience is desirable but not essential
A strong team player who can keep the team engaged whilst constantly seeking opportunities to improve the department. Next steps:
