Job Description
Elevation Accountancy & Finance are really excited to be supporting a reputable manufacturing company, based in the Normanton area, as they look to bring in a knowledgeable Purchase Ledger professional to strengthen their finance function.

The successful candidate will be required to process a high volume of invoices, deal with payments, reconciliations and maintain excellent working relationships with customers and suppliers. You will also be responsible for supporting with additional finance tasks including sales ledger and finance administration.

Duties of the Purchase Ledger Assistant will include:

* Enter purchase invoices into the system against a purchase order
* Chase up purchasing team members to amend Purchase order values to ensure invoice can be entered correctly
* Handle calls from suppliers chasing for payment
* Download the bank statements from the bank every morning and enter these details in the system, ensuring bank balance in system match statement
* Setup Same day payment when required and enter the weekly Bacs payments in the system and bank
* Month end activities – Supplier Statement Reconciliations, intercompany recharges
* Year End activities – Support team and assist audit with any queries

Person Specification:

* Previous Purchase Ledger experience
* Excel skills
* Willingness to support team & cover other aspects of accounts like credit control, bank reconciling etc due to holidays
